"Songs for transformation. At the beginning of making this album, I needed a landscape for grieving the amount of Death that has been boldly showing up on our earth, in our human species and in my own self. I started thinking of Death as a piece of the cycle, a step in transformation, rather than the end. My fiddle gave me melodies that were concerned with never being the same, yet beholden to repetition. I found words to sing that brought me out of the ego of a single moment. These songs dance, writhe, pray and transform. May they carry you as they do me."
